Biking in Sun Valley

mountain biking in Sun Valley, ID

A trip to Sun Valley isn’t complete without visiting the majestic peak of the world-famous Bald Mountain. Bikers can ride to the summit for a stunning panorama of the surrounding mountaintops and valleys. This scenic climb ascends over 3,000 feet of switchbacks and rocky terrain, and provides a fantastic challenge for serious riders. More casual bikers can choose one of the lower trails that meanders through wildflower-filled meadows and wooded countryside.

A brand new five-mile trail system was recently established called White Clouds that serves as the perfect starting point. It begins directly across from the Sun Valley Lodge and travels around the new White Clouds golf course for a relaxed outing that provides beautiful views of the valley.

Numerous local shops can handle all equipment rentals, supplies, maps, and guide services so visitors to Sun Valley can jump right on the trails and enjoy the pleasant summertime atmosphere. Plan a ride through Sun Valley during your next visit to experience some of the most spectacular views Idaho has to offer.
